EVERY DAY IS A GOOD DAY
(Inspired by “Good Day” performed by Forrest Frank)
Forrest Frank’s “Good Day” captures a posture of joy rooted not in circumstances but in Christ. The song celebrates the simple blessings that often go unnoticed—the warmth of sunlight, the sound of birds, the reminder that the God who made the universe knows each of His children by name. That truth changes everything. When believers begin each day aware of God’s presence, even ordinary moments become worship. Gratitude lifts the eyes from what’s missing to what’s already been given. Joy is not the absence of trouble; it’s the presence of trust.
Scripture teaches that the goodness of the day does not depend on external success but on internal surrender. Psalm 118:24 declares, “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” That verse was written in the context of hardship and struggle, not comfort. The psalmist’s rejoicing was an act of faith—a declaration that God’s sovereignty outweighs human circumstance. Each sunrise is a fresh opportunity to rest in His mercy, to remember that His promises are new every morning, and to live from a peace the world cannot give or take away.
Choosing joy is an act of spiritual resistance in a culture obsessed with complaint. When Christians smile through struggle, it’s not denial; it’s discipleship. It’s proclaiming that God is still on the throne, still faithful, still good. Every day belongs to Him, and every moment can be a reminder of His grace. The world may measure good days by what goes right, but followers of Jesus measure them by Who remains constant. With the Spirit’s help, even gray skies can turn blue when hearts choose praise over pessimism.
