FROM GLORY TO GLORY

“Glory To Glory” by William Matthews paints a picture of the ongoing transformation that happens in every believer’s life. The lyrics remind us that salvation is not the finish line but the beginning of a journey. We go from one degree of glory to another—not because of human effort but because of God’s redeeming power at work within us. Every verse testifies to this divine progression: Christ took on our frame, bore our shame, conquered death, and now leads us upward into His likeness.
Paul captures this same truth in 2 Corinthians 3:18, where he writes, “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” The transformation of the believer is continual and Spirit-driven. Through trials and victories alike, God uses every circumstance to refine His people, shaping them more closely to the image of Christ. This sanctifying work cannot be rushed or replicated—it is a miracle of grace happening day by day.
When the chorus proclaims, “We’ll never be the same,” it celebrates both a present reality and a future promise. The same Spirit who raised Jesus from the grave is still at work, renewing hearts, healing wounds, and drawing believers into deeper intimacy with God. Our lives become living testimonies of His power—evidence that Heaven’s glory is already breaking into Earth through surrendered hearts. The journey from glory to glory isn’t about perfection; it’s about progression in Christ’s presence.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for transforming me day by day. Help me to trust the process of Your work within me and to live each moment for Your glory.
