FOREVER AWAITS

The lyrics of “Live On Forever” lift our gaze beyond this temporary life toward the eternal hope that anchors every believer: “We are not where we belong, we have a hope.” This song captures the joyful certainty of those who know that death is not the end but the doorway into everlasting life with Christ.
Our world spends so much energy avoiding thoughts of mortality. Yet, for Christians, eternity is not something to fear but to anticipate with eager confidence. The Apostle Paul expressed it clearly in 2 Corinthians 5:1 when he wrote, “For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.” Earthly life fades, but heavenly life is permanent—free from sorrow, decay, and death.
When the pressures of life weigh heavy, songs like this remind us that we are travelers passing through a world that is not our final home. Our struggles are real, but they are temporary. Pain, loss, and fear lose their power when seen through the lens of eternity. Heaven is not a vague dream; it is the promise Jesus Himself made when He said, “I go to prepare a place for you.”
To live with eternity in view transforms how we live today. Every act of love, every word of truth, and every moment of worship carries eternal weight. We were not created for despair or defeat—we were created for forever. That truth should fill every believer with hope, courage, and the unshakable peace of knowing that the best is yet to come.
PRAYER
Lord, thank You for the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Strengthen my heart to live each day in light of forever. Help me walk faithfully today while fixing my eyes on the hope that awaits in Your presence.
