WORTH MORE THAN YOU KNOW
(Inspired by “For What It’s Worth” performed by Rachael Lampa)
The song “For What It’s Worth” is a beautiful reminder that Christ’s love sees beyond our flaws and failures. Like a diamond buried beneath the dirt, He recognizes the beauty hidden under the scars and lifts us into the light of His grace. This truth dismantles the lie that our worth depends on performance or perfection — it is rooted solely in His redemption.
Many believers wrestle with feelings of unworthiness, measuring themselves by the world’s standards rather than God’s. Yet Scripture reveals that the Creator of the universe paid the ultimate price to redeem what was lost. Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are His workmanship, crafted for good works prepared in advance. The Potter never abandons the clay; He continues shaping, refining, and polishing us until His reflection shines through.
Even when we feel buried in regret or obscured by failure, God’s gaze never turns away. He doesn’t just see what we’ve done — He sees who we’re becoming in Christ. The same hands that formed the stars hold the dust of our lives and breathe life into what seems broken beyond repair. His grace is not a second chance; it’s a brand-new creation.
When we finally see ourselves through His eyes, the dirt becomes holy ground — a place where transformation takes root. Jesus does not discard the imperfect heart; He treasures it. And through that divine love, we begin to live not from shame but from security, trusting that our worth has already been declared on the cross.
PRAYER
Lord Jesus, thank You for seeing my heart through Your eyes of grace. Help me to rest in the truth that my worth is found in You alone. Shape me into the person You designed me to be and let Your light shine through my life.
APPLICATION
Write down one area where you’ve doubted your worth, then pray and thank God for the truth that your value comes from Him, not from your performance.
