With My Whole Heart

LOVING GOD COMPLETELY
(Inspired by “With My Whole Heart” performed by BeBe Winans)

When BeBe Winans sings “With my whole heart,” he gives voice to the kind of devotion God desires from every believer—a love that is total, undivided, and steadfast. The song’s lyrics celebrate God’s faithfulness and the believer’s response to that faithfulness: love expressed in gratitude and obedience. It’s more than emotion; it’s surrender. True worship flows not from perfection, but from a heart fully yielded to the One who first loved us.

Scripture calls this the greatest commandment. In Deuteronomy 6:5, God instructed His people to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” Jesus reaffirmed this command centuries later, teaching that wholehearted love for God is the foundation of all other obedience. Loving Him with our whole heart means there is no part of our life He does not touch, guide, and redeem.

The song reminds us that God’s love was there “right from the start.” Before any of us knew how to seek Him, He sought us. His promise to never part is reflected in His covenant faithfulness—a love that never leaves or forsakes. When believers understand that they are fully loved, loving Him back becomes not duty but delight. It transforms prayer, worship, and daily living into acts of intimate relationship.

To love God with one’s whole heart is to love without reservation. It means placing every hope, fear, and dream under His care. It’s trusting His promises when life feels uncertain and following His guidance even when the path is unclear. This kind of love changes everything—it draws believers deeper into the presence of the One who loved them first and will love them forever.
